The 4th Open Science Forum (OSF-4) under the OPEN-ASIA Project framework was successfully conducted from 24th to 25th September 2025 at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia. The forum brought together academicians, researchers, policymakers, and consortium partners from Asia and Europe to engage in discussions on advancing Open Science practices, fostering collaboration, and strengthening research ecosystems across regions.
The two-day forum featured keynote addresses, expert forums, and best-practice sharing sessions focusing on global trends in Open Science, citizen science initiatives, Open Science policy and incentives, FAIR-compliant repository systems, and capacity building for higher education institutions. Participants also exchanged institutional experiences and explored innovative approaches towards open access implementation and collaborative research frameworks.
